Acrostic Poems

During our water unit, we wrote an Acrostic poem as a class about water:

Wet waves

Animals live in it

The water cycle

Enormous oceans

Rainfall

You may choose a subject from the list (or choose your own) and write an acrostic poem using it. Remember that in an acrostic poem you are to choose your subject and each line from the poem begins with a letter from your subject word.  Your poem doesn't have to rhyme but it does have to connect with your subject!

Subject List:
crab, turtle, clam, fish, dolphin, shark, ocean, lake, beach, clean, coast

Once your poem is finished, you may decorate it with pictures that go along with your poem.  Feel free to share your poem with a partner.
